Had to cross over from a wide gate and jumps from an inside gate today. Best figures measure up, and on a 7-day return, he can bounce back. NIGHT INVADER (2) below expectations in tougher here, stepping up from a mile to a staying trip. Better placed coming back to 2000m, and three times winning rider Ganderton is reunited. Is capable of turning things around. MONTEZULU (4) did well last start, making up a stack of ground over 1600m at this track, beaten just a half a length. Draws somewhat better today and tackles a middle distance for the first time. He gives every indication that it will suit. SPRING BEAN (1) faces a tougher challenge with extra weight today, but is in the mix.
