Launceston Race 7 - Mayhem In The Mounting Yard 20th November (Bm66)

NATIVE CLAN (4) had a 37-day break before scoring a courageous win over MERLIN BEACH last start in a 2150m BM68 at this track. Should tighten up a little following that run and the step back in trip is no problem. The testing material again. MERLIN BEACH (2) registered an 11th minor placing last time out when he led for the judge but couldn't quite hold out NATIVE CLAN over 2150m at this circuit. Chops and changes distances without turning a hair. Very honest and is the big danger again. HAPPY CLAN (1) is racing well but finding a win hard to come by. Closed well to be beaten narrowly by the top picks here most recently. Gets in well after the 4kgs claim. Can turn the tables with the small field suiting his racing pattern. JOHNNIE PINCH (3) started favourite in the NATIVE CLAN race last start but was disappointing. Cannot be dismissed after one poor performance. SUGOI LEGEND (6) found the above quartet too good last time and probably struggles again.
