Mahoning Valley Race 8 - Race 8 - Mdn Special Weight
OAKLYN (9) Zipped home into 3rd beaten by nearly 12L last start at Thistledown and promising career start. Jockey Chelsey Keiser and trainer David Wolochuk are a strong team. Winning claims. SOME GIVEN EVENT (8) Showed strength on the speed initially before fading at the end 3rd last time at Belterra Park and fitter for debut run. Should muster plenty of early toe. Appears well in this. LLUVIA FUERTE (3) Felt the pinch late when 3rd last start at Belterra Park and was on debut last time. Will be positive in the run early. Jockey Humberto Haldar is in form. No surprise to see a forward showing and one of the main hopes in this race. THE WAY IT IS (10) Managed to run into 2nd beaten by more than 7L last run at Thistledown and was on debut last time. In the mix.

Odds of $28.00 and didn't find the line when 11th last run at Thistledown but was on debut last time. Likely to get back in the field. Drawn nicely. Hard to entertain.

Started at $36.00 and folded up in the straight when 8th last start at Thistledown. Hard to see it being good enough.

Jumped at $5.50 and gave away some ground when 6th last start at Thistledown but having second career run. Should jump out and bowl along. Prefer in something weaker.
