RUPENI (1) made progress early in the season before jarring up on a good track at his last start at Pukekohe in November. He will be better for his spell, and a recent quiet trial will ensure that he is ready to rumble fresh. Check the market. FIRST LIGHT (7) was put aside to mature after her debut fourth in the spring. She was close up in a recent trial, and though her breeding says she will be better over more ground, she can still sprint sharply fresh. HIGH GOAL (2) has won his only public trial to date, which was last December at Avondale. He is well educated, and is worth each-way consideration from a tricky gate. Use the market as a guide. MISS PERNA (6) has shown plenty of promise to date, finishing in the money twice in small fields from as many starts. She has won a tune-up trial and is sure to have plenty of market support fresh. Can win. ROSE AYE REIGN (9) raced greenly on debut after winning a trial very easily before that. She is worth another chance.
