SUPERGRACE (5) returns from a three-month spell and is a new arrival in the Sally Torrens stable. Ran a couple of nice races last prep in Victoria, albeit over longer trips than this. No trial form since joining the new yard so the betting will be crucial. HANEY (1) led and gave a kick but found one better when fresh from a spell over 1000m at Tamworth last time out. Should roll forward again from the inside draw and prove very difficult to run down. ASTRA VIA (8) started at $21 but defied the market with a game third on debut over 1000m at Muswellbrook recently. Draws a far better gate this time so with some natural improvement this is well within reach. EUPHORIC MISS (2) has been freshened up since weakening out of a 1000m maiden at Tamworth five weeks ago. Capable on her day and can play a major role. Betting watch on the Cavanough's first starter STOP THE METER (7) who hasn't been to the trials.
