Mornington Race 8 - Sportsbet Mornington Cup (L)

Most of these come through the Easter Cup which was on by AMBASSADORIAL (7), given a great ride but really stamping his authority late to come clear and win it by 1.5 lengths. He just keeps raising the bar and off last start, it's hard to say 2400m will pose too big of an issue. The one that could be a big improver is last year's winner BANKERS CHOICE (1). Both runs back have been good, getting home well in the Easter Cup which was a test of late speed over 2000m. Out to 2400m, third up, he can look to be positive from out wide and turn this into a more genuine test. SEA WHAT I SEE (12) has placed in all three this time in, second in the Easter Cup last time with IMMEDIACY (5) in third. SEA WHAT I SEE is untried this trip but is bred to run it and will be up on speed. IMMEDIACY was much better when given a good ride last time, 2400m is fine for him despite his record on paper. SUNTORA (13) got home well last time and can measure up.
