Cracking contest with plenty of promising runners engaged. MOSTLY FOR SHOW (1) chased gamely into second behind what looks a very smart filly in Bassett Babe here two weeks ago when resuming. Not as tough this time and looks ready for this rise in trip. UPTOWN MONK (6) backed up his eye-catching debut effort with an arrogant win at Strathalbyn to get off the mark. Draws to get the A1 and is full of upside. Have to take seriously. DAZELLES (8) was an impressive debut winner at Gawler when doing it from the front. Positive racing pattern and upside will have her in this for a very long way - can steal it if left alone. Impossible to knock the form of DIRTY OLD TOWN (4) who shoots for the hat-trick. Has gobbled them up from the back with barnstorming wins and now gets the chance to take much closer order. SAFE BET (5) comes through the Bassett Babe race. Was perhaps below his best there but doesn't deserve to be thrown aside off one flat effort.
