REPEATER (2) is the horse the race seems to revolve around despite a plain recent form line. He was unwanted in the market when eighth in a 3yo+ Class 5 over 1400m at Bunbury, but this is easier than that provincial assignment and the return to 1200m is significant given his four wins from nine at the distance. FAMEUX (1) has the stronger recent excuse, having been slow away, keen and wide throughout when fifth at Mt Newman, and his 1200m record keeps him right in the argument. INTOXICATING (3) brings winning form after putting Shooting Kontiki away by two and a half lengths at Junction, though she now needs to prove that was more than a spike at generous odds. BLITZ (4) has been freshened since Class 1 runs at Carnarvon and has already won at Mt Magnet, so he is the next logical inclusion for the multiples.
