Perfectly drawn and can bounce back in this suitable contest. NATIONAL NEWS (7) is filly by Churchill on debut for Kim Waugh. Won trials at Gosford and Wyong leading into this. Looks smart and could kick off with a win. LADY LONSDALE (6) was inexplicably poor at Rosehill most recently after an encouraging first-up effort at the Caulfield Heath. Worth another chance. ROYAL BOTANIC (8) closed in good style although never a threat on debut last start at Hawkesbury. Up in trip with blinkers added should see a stronger performance.
