MR INDEPENDENT (2) tackled this trip second-up and was narrowly beaten at Sandown-Hillside. Fitter again and won't have to improve much to take this out. STAND MY GROUND (10) resumes and creates plenty of interest. Was tipped out following a 1.7L miss at Newcastle on debut and she presents off sharp trials at Hawkesbury and Warwick Farm. Will be naturally improved and Jamie Melham is engaged in a decent push for her chances. BUTTERSCOTCH (6) led and went close in the MR INDEPENDENT races and will be further improved. Keeps Craig Williams and is sure to give a big sight. ARDASHIR (1) resumes and the Irish import has his first outing for Ciaron Maher. Placed over a staying distance his solitary start, but he's had three jumpouts and may be forward enough. The race day betting should tell the tale.
