INITIALLY (5) is ready to land a winning blow after missing narrowly here last time. That was his first placing from four starts, but it looks like he's starting to figure it out. FOMENTER (4) was too bad to be true last time when beaten a stretch but his Naracoorte third as favourite two back keeps him firmly in calculations and the quick back-up is assessed as a positive. VELOCITY ROSE (10) was also beaten a long way as favourite last week, but being held up near the 100m gives her some excuse and her recent-form ratings keep her right in the contest. CRIMSON WALTZ (8) has been sound in both runs this campaign, finishing fourth then fifth at this track, and the latest effort when beaten just under two lengths. One to keep in mind.
