SLICK COUNTRY BOY (3) finished second at this track and distance at his last appearance nine weeks ago. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. WEIRD YEAR (6) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when seventh, beaten 13 lengths, over 1207m at this track (Dirt). This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. TAKE ACTION (1) returns from a spell of ten weeks. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when sixth over 1006m at this track (Dirt). Sound record at this distance with three wins and two minor placings from seven runs and is one of the better hopes.
