LUNAR EIGHT (2) sets the standard after being beaten a nose in a Class 4 at Sunshine Coast, a performance with real merit given she was unwanted in the market and still fought the race right out. She also has a strong 1200m profile, with three wins and four placings from eleven starts at the distance, and looks well placed coming back from provincial company. SHIPPING LANE (5) has not quite finished off at Rockhampton recently, but he comes through a BM65 last start, drops into a more suitable assignment and has placed twice from three rides with Nikki Olzard. BETTER THAN WORDS (6) was plain on paper first-up at Rockhampton, yet she made solid inroads from well back and is already a winner at this track and distance.
