TRON BOLT (1) bounced off his good debut third at Kembla, with a slashing victory after stalking the speed and sprinting quickly to record good figures over 1400m at Randwick Kensington. Well placed with Grima's 2kg claim and worth noting his dam was a swimmer. The one to beat. CORMIER (3) showed good gate speed from the wide gate on debut with a dominant victory over 1100m at Scone. Will be even stronger out to this trip and expected to get through the going. Top-three contender. NATIONS LEAGUE (2) kept fresh for this and the blinkers go on today. Gripped on strongly when a narrow second over 1400m at Hawkesbury in the Clarendon. Kept up to the mark with a 1030m trial. Fitness won't be an excuse. PARISEST MAGIC (13) returned a decent set of figures from last on the turn when she made her debut with a tidy third over 1200m at Gosford. Recent form has been franked and must be respected.
