Rosehill Race 6 - Golden Gift (L)
EXO VELOCITY (9) saved ground along the inside on debut with a solid win over 1000m at Randwick in the Kirkham. Should be even stronger over this trip but looks to find a much tougher race. SILENT INTENT (7) closed off well on the heavy (10) surface on debut with a gritty third over 1000m in the LR Maribyrnong Trial Stakes at Flemington. Since fitted with an 800m jump out win and looks well placed. SHARJAWIYAH (12) well-bred Supido filly out of Shuwaamekh on debut for the O'Shea & Charlton yard. Good mover primed with the two smart trials. Hard to hold out. PROVERB (5) heavily supported at debut when he failed to handle the heavy (10) going with a struggling last in the LR Maribyrnong Trial Stakes at Flemington over 1000m. Since impressed in an 805m trial win at Warwick Farm. Expected to go close. TORSHAVN (8) Maurice colt from a Snitzel mare on debut for the Hawkes' yard. Fitted with the two searching trials and the rails draw keeps him in contention.
