Sandown Race 6 - Mcmahon's Dairy Mckenzie Stakes (L)
Want to side with the resuming BLIND RAISE (3) here who looked good as a 2yo, winning dominantly on debut before a similarly impressive win in the ANZAC Day Stakes at Flemington. He had issues after the G2 BRC Sires in Queensland and has jumped out well leading in. Shinn sets him outside the lead here and he'll be very hard to beat. WOLF GAP (5) is interesting on resumption. He won well on debut from back in the field before being sent out a $5.50 chance in the G2 Todman Stakes when a solid third. First up at 1300m and drawn wide but he's got plenty of ability. Not sure what to make of CLOSER TO FREE (2) out of the Vain Stakes. He was backed very heavily and didn't get into the right spot but ultimately he was plain in a very low rating race. Can improve but needs to. SHOOTING BRAKE (8) has minor claims from TORNADO VALLEY (1) who was poor in the Vain but had trialled well prior.
