Usually improves with a run under the belt and sharp improvement is on the cards. GRAND PATCH (2) brings the cleanest recent form, having been held up before running on for fourth beaten two lengths after a win at this track from Ka Ying Glory, and he has a recent edge over POSITIVE SMILE. Won a recent trial and can feature in the finish. SHOTGUN (9) resumes with two solid trials undser his belt and is a track and trip winner in the past. Poon sticks from the latest trial and he won't be far away. HERO RISING (8) is still a maiden, but his first-up fourth at big odds had merit after doing work and he has upside if he can build on that run.
