Thompson reunites and will presumably look to push forward and have him handy on the quick back-up. Can land it this time. DAZZLING DIAMOND (11) was plain at Ipswich last start, though her prior third here and sound local record keep her firmly in the mix. PACIERA (10) was good through the line first-up here and is proven at 1300m, so she has scope to advance second-up. RICKYTHESTEAMBOAT (3) drops back from Saturday grade, where he made late ground at big odds. Maloney taking over is a good push but he draws to get back a long way again. If the pace is hot he can launch late. WATER LAD (18) had excuses last start when going under as a firm fav. His form prior was strong, so if he can recapture that he's right up to this.
