Sunshine Coast Race 2 - Amerro Engineering Hcp (C1)
DESANTO (7) resumes and makes her stable debut after tackling the LR Mick Dittman Plate at Eagle Farm back in April. Didn't threaten there but had excuses and this is obviously a much easier assignment. Has been readied with a Deagon trial and looks a promising mare that can take the right steps this prep. URBAN LAD (2) is the main danger and has proven sharp enough first-up before. Two lead-up trials build the case and Maloney's booking is a good push. BUCKEYE (4) has been a touch disappointing since joining the Munces but drops sharply in trip off 49 days and has trialled well in-between. McColm's claim gets him in well and he may be worth another look. MISS ADRIFT (12) returns short of a preferred trip but looks to have ability, thrown in the deep end last prep in the LR Princess Stakes at Eagle Farm in what has proven to be a terrific form reference. Not one to underestimate. SCARLET HAZE (16) gave a bold sight fresh and should prove tougher to run down this time.
