BARROW POWER (5) raced handy on debut and gave a big sight beaten 0.6 lengths over 1150m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Had trialled well 2x at Scone and will be fitter again. Well placed at country level to win. NEAREST (2) debuts for a sharp Scone yard, which gets them going early. Comes off an easy 900m trial win there and looks to have good ability. Ready to go, and a bold run is on the cards. Wary. HINTO (6) resumes and can make the finish if presented forward. Had a recent trial at Scone and has raced well first-up. Has to push forward from a wide gate, but he's well placed with the 4kg claim. EXTREMELY PERFECT (4) led at Armidale when well supported but folded up. Had switched from a Sydney stable on a 46-day return. He can use the inside gate and improve enough to get some of the cash.
