SPOILT ROTTEN (7) is a local gelding who has been trying to win a race for some time, and he was close up again when finishing fifth at Ipswich 9-days ago over 1200m. He tries 1300m for the first time, and from a good draw, he has another chance to break his duck. STAR OF ASCOT (8) set the pace and only weakened late when finishing second here 3 weeks ago. He is having his third run from a new stable, and will take plenty of pegging back again. ONLYYOUCANREAD (6) ended his last prep with his best effort in 5-starts, and he will be a lot stronger this season. A recent trial will bring his condition along, and despite a wide gate, he can give this a shake. Check the markets. CHEEKOSWAY (2) should have finished closer fresh up when third here 3 weeks ago.
