SAVAGE SEQUEL (4) changed stables after an impressive debut win at Moree in a 50K maiden there in early September. He made his Queensland debut at Doomben a month ago, and had no luck when finishing sixth. This is easier, and he is poised to set the record straight. On top. TOSCANELLA (6) was allowed to coast home once headed here 2 weeks ago, finishing fifth. Dropping back in trip is the key, and having the blinkers off for the first time can also help. Stick with her. HAPPYAZIAM (8) franked some good trial form with a tough short-head win as expected here 4 weeks ago. She skips a couple of grades to be here, so with 3kg less to carry, she can take the net step immediately. CAUSE SHE CAN (5) is a promising local filly who ran on late for second here 2 weeks ago. She will be spot-on with her fitness now, and another good run is on the cards. Each way.
