BRIGINSHAW (2) followed up an encouraging debut with a comfortable maiden victory over this course and distance. He has been given plenty of time to get over that win, and has maintained his fitness by winning a trial since then. On top again for us. SMART 'N' LOUD (3) resumed in excellent style with a maiden win on a rain-affected track at Cairns 9-days ago, and he should take plenty of confidence from that success. Stick with him. ALBERTA BOUND (1) continues to race consistently and was only denied by a neck here last start. From a favourable draw, he should settle prominently again and another big run is on the cards. JUST A DUCHESS (6) ran below expectations at Cairns but is better than that effort suggests. The rise in distance is the key, and from the pole position, she can't be ruled out of a top 3 finish here. NOBLE LEGACY (7) never threatened last time but benefits from a 2.5kg drop in the weights. Include her in all top 4 combos as attractive odds.
