She drops to 1200m which may do the trick. Gavin Lerena retains the ride, and she is one of the leading chances. EMPRESS WU (4) stayed on well when second over 1000m on the Classic course last time. She shows speed in her races and may be hard to peg back under Andrew Fortune. DEZIRE (10) is a three-year-old filly from the A P Peter stable on debut today.
