GRIFTER (7) should strip much fitter second-up after resuming over 1200m here and finishing fourth as the favourite after struggling in the heavy ground. He has more to offer and with the blinkers on for the first time, he can make amends. Follow your money. BIG VEE (1) was excellent first-up here off a long spell, going down by only a head over this distance. He should take improvement from that run and should go close to winning this. MADAME DOUBTFIRE (9) was never a factor on debut at Sandown-Hillside after racing greenly throughout, and that effort is best overlooked. He is on his home track now and is expected to improve sharply. TIKIELA (6) ran on well enough to finish fourth third up from a spell at Hamilton last week over 1100m, and she figure in the top 3 this time, especially with a senior hoop on here.
