Werribee Race 1 - Tree Top Tower Hire Mdn Plate
It's a surprise to see G3-placed TALES OF TIME (9) in a $32k maiden off a couple of brilliant trial wins, but there are a few others who have also been trialling nicely who will keep him honest. That said, TALES OF TIME looks to have come on between campaigns and his only run in spring was a narrow second to Tornado Valley in the Maribyrnong Plate. If he turns up in that sort of form, he'll be winning. REGAL VANGUARD (4) did little on debut but has changed camps since and put a gap on his rivals in a recent Mornington jumpout and looks suited over the short trip. ASTERN FIGHT (1) will be better for the debut third placing and draws better than some of the other key players. PROLIFIC ANGEL (8) is another debutant, from a gun stable, and has looked good in all jumpouts, so expect her to play a role. MORNING RALPH (3) is one of the more experienced runners in the race and ran his best race last start, so could go on with it.
