FARSET (1) improving gelding with his hoof on the till at start five. Will relish the blinkers second-up after sitting on the speed from the wide gate with a narrow second over 1250m at Newcastle. Gets the gun run today and can put these away around the tight Wyong track. GONG GIRL (9) was well supported first-up when no match for the handy Mrs Maree with a plugging third over 1200m at this track. Looks to have further improvement and is ready for this trip and further now. NONNO'S POWER (3) yet to draw a decent gate in two starts back and today is no different. Snagged back early and made some ground in the straight with a plugging seventh over 1250m at Newcastle. Can run into the money today. NEGATE (2) three-year-old gelding by Wootton Bassett from Cancel on debut for the Waller yard. Trials have been only fair but can improve quickly under race conditions. Well drawn and worth thought.
